Weekly Recap #22

This is the last full weekly recap post of the year since next week’s will be posted in January. Here’s to a great 2026!

Week of December 21

🐶 Moose turned 5 years old on December 21st. He’s the best boy.

🌐 I signed up with Xfinity for internet service. They just rolled out fiber in our town and are doing a promo where I can get 2 gig up/down for $70/mo with a 5-year price lock, a $200 gift card after 90 days of service, and 2 years of Peacock Premium for free. I had Xfinity cable back when I lived in Portland and never had any issues in the 15-20 years I had it, so I’m hoping for the same here. Installation is January 6th, and I’m kinda excited about it. Stay tuned.

🎄 We had a busy Christmas Day. First, we went to my mom’s — along with my brother and his family — and then later in the afternoon we drove an hour and a half south to Melissa’s mom’s house. It was a really good day, but absolutely exhausting.

📷 I recently came across PhotosExport and I’m going to give it a whirl on my photo library.

🎮 I started playing Fallout 76 again after a 2-ish year break. Holy shit, a lot has changed since I last played — including all of my perk cards being reset. I decided to start a new character since it’s been kind of hard to remember what I was doing and where I left off the last time I played.
