I saw the Kodak Charmera pop up in my feed the other day, so I ordered one. It arrived today. First impression? It’s much smaller than I expected for some reason. I’m not sure why I thought it’d be bigger (I’ve seen photos of people holding them and it’s literally a keychain), but I did. It’s not a problem though, I like how small it is.

Last night, I decided to finally install Obsidian on my iPad Pro and see what all the fuss is about. Since I wanted to use it to post to my blog, I also installed the Pagecord plugin and the Templater plugin.
The Pagecord plugin handles publishing, but it doesn’t generate front matter for you. So to make my life easier, I created a new blog post template to auto-populate the slug, timestamp, and other front matter:
I’ve been coming to this lake since I was a baby. I learned to swim here, and spent a massive chunk of my childhood swimming, riding my dad’s Wave Runner, or just playing in and around it.
📝 I moved the site to Pagecord, mostly for the Post by Email feature. Everything I’ve posted so far has been using it, and I’m pretty happy with it so far.

A week or two ago, I tried to submit the site’s sitemap.xml file in the Google Search Console (GSC). I was able to do so, but GSC has a status of “Couldn’t fetch”:
I’ve decided to move the blog over to Pagecord — at least for now — mostly due to the post by email feature (which I’m using to post this).
I emailed yesterday and asked to have my blog imported and Olly got back to me a couple of hours later saying it was done. Everything should be moved over (and updated in a couple of spots). Please let me know if you find anything broken.

Relatively short one this week. It’s been gross and rainy outside all week and there hasn’t been much going on.

Week of June 14
📱 After a couple weeks using the iPhone Air, I’m back on the iPhone 17 Pro. I have the iOS 27 beta on the Pro, so we’ll see how using that full time goes. I don’t really anticipate issues – it’s been pretty good in my testing – but I’ll find out soon enough.
My twins turn 17 today, and I could not be more proud of the young men they’ve become. I know I post this photo every year, but it’s my favorite and I don’t care — I’m posting it anyway ☺️

Week of June 7
🍎 WWDC was this past week and Apple announced the 27 OSes. I have the betas installed on my iPad Pro and iPhone 17 Pro (I’m still using the iPhone Air as my daily driver) and it has been solid so far. This is the Liquid Glass they should’ve released last year.
