Week of September 7

🍎 Apple had their annual September event on the 9th. Pretty bold of them to open with Steve Jobs’ quote about design1, given the absolute shitshow that is Liquid Glass. They announced AirPods Pro 32, updated Apple Watches (Series 11, SE 3, & Ultra 3), iPhones (iPhone 17, iPhone Air3, iPhone 17 Pro/Pro Max4).

📱 The iOS/iPadOS/macOS/watchOS 26 release candidate build is out and I updated all the things. They’ll all be released to the public on September 15th.

🩻 I had a kidney ultrasound this week since the X-rays of my ribs showed kidney stones in my left kidney and the doc wanted to get a better view of what’s going on in both kidneys. Nothing of note except a big ass 1.3 cm stone in my left kidney 😳 Next stop, appointment with urology.

📱 I pre-ordered a base-model iPhone 17 in Lavender.

  2. The increased battery life from the AirPods Pro 2 pretty much makes these a must-upgrade for me. ↩︎

  3. Not gonna lie, I kinda hate how that camera bump (sorry, “plateau” 🙄) looks on the Air. Even worse, the camera itself still protrudes from the bump so it still won’t lie flat on a table. ↩︎

  4. I feel like the Pro is complete overkill for how I use my phone. I do like that Cosmic Orange color though 🤔 ↩︎
