Weekly Recap #9

Week of September 21

⌚️ I gave into the urge and went back to the Apple Watch Ultra. I had the original Ultra for 2 years and loved the battery life. Last year I switched to the Series 10, and while I really liked how much lighter it was, I missed the screen and the battery life with the Ultra1. So, I decided to trade in the Series 10 (Apple gave me $175 for it) and get the Ultra 3. It’s only been a couple of days but I’m really happy with my decision so far.

🩻 I had my chest and abdomen CT scans. They were originally scheduled for back-to-back days, but the tech thought that was stupid so she did them together. Long story short, the chest CT didn’t show much so my doc is sending me for an MRI on my ribs. Something is definitely going on2, we just don’t know what yet. The abdominal CT showed the kidney stone is much smaller than initially thought — 0.6cm vs 1.3cm. Don’t ask me how it was overestimated by double — it makes no sense. We were also a bit confused because the radiologist that read the results noted my appendix was normal but I haven’t had one since I was 3 years old (I’m 51 now). My doc has a message in to him to see how that is possible 😂 Anyway, I have a follow-up appointment with urology on Monday and will know more about that part then.

🎡 Apparently we lost our minds and decided to take the kids to the Bloomsburg Fairon the last day. I didn’t know it was the last day until we were almost there and saw a sign, but Melissa did and she didn’t tell me because she knows I would’ve protested 😂

🍗 The fair wasn’t as bad as it could’ve been, and we got to eat some delicious food and support Irene’s Caboose after their loss earlier in the week.

🐟 Speaking of the fair, Melissa and the girls won 3 goldfish, so now we have a fish tank 😂

☕️ I bought a Keurig K-Mini to replace our old, busted coffee maker so we don’t have to go to Dunkin for coffee every morning.

  1. And the Modular Ultra watch face. I really hate how some faces are limited to the Ultra series. ↩︎

  2. This is what my chest looks like when I cough. It looks like an alien is trying to bust out the side. Melissa showed the video to the the physical therapist and occupational therapist she works with and they think it’s my lung pushing out. My doctor hasn’t given any theories, but says it’s “definitely abnormal”. We’ll see what the MRI shows, but something is definitely not right. ↩︎
