I’ve been coming to this lake since I was a baby. I learned to swim here, and spent a massive chunk of my childhood swimming, riding my dad’s Wave Runner, or just playing in and around it.
My paternal grandparents lived on the lake, and I lived in their old house for a year when I first moved back from Portland. Now my mom lives there.
Even though a lot has changed over the last 45-50 years — it’s incredibly sad that the woods me and my brother and our friends spent whole summers walking and biking through to get to the end of the dam are now a bunch of huge houses — I still love it and it’s still one of my favorite places to be.
