We were looking for something to do today, so we decided to take a little1 trip up Interstate 81 to Tunkhannock, PA and the only Pizza Hut Classic left in Pennsylvania.
Stepping into the place was like going back in time to the late 80s and early 90s when everyone in our little town would go to Pizza Hut after high school football games2. It was an awesome dose of nostalgia. They even had an old Book It!3 poster on the wall!

I think ALL Pizza Huts should be Pizza Hut Classic versions. We’d certainly take the kids there if there was one nearby (I don’t know we’ll be making that hour and a half drive again for Pizza Hut though 😂).
Ok, so it was like an hour and a half trip. Worth it.
The Pizza Hut here in Tamaqua closed in 1998 (I think). I was long gone by then.
Apparently Book It! still exists but appears to be all online/app based now. How sad 😔
