Week of April 19
🍎 As rumored for a while, Tim Cook is stepping aside as Apple CEO later this year and will be replaced by John Ternus. See also: Tim Cook’s letter to the community.
🎓 Alex got his cap and gown this week, which means graduation – and my upcoming trip to Portland – are fast approaching. I’m excited for the trip and super proud of him for graduating a year early. Maybe the kids are actually gonna be alright.
🩻 Back last year when I had some visits with Cardio and Thoracic Surgery, they wanted to do a follow-up CT on my ribs in 6 months, and that 6 months is now. I had the CT (with contrast this time) on Wednesday.
🌐 I made a couple of site updates since site search was added to Pika. The “Blog” page is now Archive and that page includes the aforementioned search, a tag list, and every post I’ve made, organized by year. I also yanked the Mastodon link out of the nav site it’s linked to on the home page, and added a Contact page.
🏀 The Trail Blazers are in the playoffs for the first time since 2019. They’ve been playing the San Antonio Spurs in the first round and the Spurs are up 2-1 in the series. Game 4 is in Portland this afternoon. Go Blazers!
