Another short one this week.
Week of May 24
🇺🇸 Monday was Memorial Day here in the US and it was absolutely gorgeous outside. The pain was tolerable enough that I was able to get my ass out of the house and over to my mom’s to fire up the grill and make everyone dinner.
🏀 The NBA Finals start next week – New York Knicks vs San Antonio Spurs. If the Knicks keep playing the way they have through the playoffs so far, I’m not sure any team in the NBA could beat them. They’ve been unstoppable.
🏥 I’m on PTO this coming week because I was supposed to be flying to Portland for Alex’s high school graduation1, but I had to cancel the trip because I’m having surgery on Wednesday to remove Urethra Franklin (my kidney stone). He understands why I had to cancel and keeps reminding me that my health is more important, but I’m pretty fucking miserable about it 😔
- He’s graduating a year early. His twin brother, on the other hand, will likely be in high school til he’s 30 🙃
